What our customers are saying about Gardz®
After whitewashing (and mist coating) our newly plastered walls in the hall, stairs and landing, we noticed a powdery residue on our hands when stroking the walls. Looked everywhere for a solution and found Zinsser Gardz. I immediately noticed how easy it was to apply, and how it wasn’t runny or streaky at all. It even felt reassuringly sticky when applying. Dried to a solid finish and when we did a couple of coats of white emulsion on top of it, the finish was perfect, and no powdery finish! It was so good, we have bought another tin, ready for the bedrooms!
I noticed an inconsistency in the coverage of an emulsion on a newly plastered ceiling, not normally a huge problem as it’s generally easily solved, but all my tried and tested products and methods could not remedy it. Gardz worked a treat in sealing off the problem area, it was dry within 30 minutes and ready for a coat of emulsion and now the ceiling looks fantastic. I’ve continued to use Gardz for all the numerous problems listed on the tin and now I won’t use anything else.
Wish I had found this product sooner. We are 7/10ths of the way through a house renovation and had layers of wallpaper EVERYWHERE. Huge jobs to strip, prep and paint but found we could never get every last bit of paste, no matter how much we tried to scrub, wash, wipe and scrub again. It always shows through paint after a year. This stuff is fantastic! It seals and binds rough plaster, seals in left over bits of wallpaper paste and dries super quick. Very easy to apply. Highly recommend.
