Thornbridge Hall

Zinsser AllCoat Solvent Based and PermaWhite® paints have been used extensively on the walls and ceilings of a stately home extension in Derbyshire. Originally built in the 12th century, Thornbridge Hall was substantially rebuilt in the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

Run as a teacher training college, an educational centre and conference centre by Sheffield City Council from 1945, it has been owned privately since 2002.The extension, designed by architects Chris Gothard Associates, is the first significant building construction to be undertaken for over 100 years. It houses a splendid swimming pool, below-ground gymnasium and beauty rooms. Because of the function of the extension, building contractors Baytree Interiors wanted an internal paint that would be completely moisture permeable resistant and that would not flake or peel. The solution was the specification of Zinsser products.
